Bible Reading

We believe that reading the Bible is essential to come to know the plan and purpose of God with this earth and all inhabitants since He created Adam.

The Bible is God’s message to us personally and in it we learn why He created all things, what God expects of us and what God has promised for the future.

As a large book containing records of factual events, prophecies, psalms, proverbs, letters and revelation, knowing where to start can feel a little daunting. There are many ways to read the Bible to start to understand the good news it contains. You could start at the beginning of Genesis and work your way through to the end of The Revelation, or you can make use of a reading planner which helps to give a structured approach to reading and understanding God’s word.

The daily Bible reading planner takes you through the entire Bible in a year – the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice. It is divided into three portions of reading each day which could be read at different times of the day, or one portion straight after another. Reading the Bible is not a ‘tick a box’ exercise – the daily reading of the message it contains will constantly help us throughout our lives to learn and develop as individuals so that we are more like the character of God and His son, Lord Jesus, the Christ.

If you would like to read the Bible with others and learn about the message it contains, please get in touch with us. We would be very pleased to welcome you to a reading group where we can read and discuss God’s word together.
